Saving reponsibly

Responsible saving gives real meaning to one's savings while seeking to benefit from potentially attractive financial performance. Responsible saving means helping to meet the major challenges of today and tomorrow, such as social well-being and environmental problems.

Your objectives by selecting our socially responsible funds

Invest in our funds targeting sustainable development companies and you could:

  • Increase the value of your assets over the medium term
  • Seek to benefit from the growth potential of SRI themes: Water, renewable energy, access to healthcare, sustainable real estate, etc.
  • Bring your investments and convictions into line by focusing on companies or public authorities identified as committed stakeholders in sustainable development.

Our SRI strategies

In SRI strategies, the choice of companies that respect environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria is the first step for our asset managers. Nevertheless, the basic rules for good management remain unchanged, particularly that of diversification. This is why we offer you funds representing different asset classes and management techniques.

Promoting diversification and flexibility in the composition of our portfolios

Our flexible fund is invested in several asset classes (equities, bonds, money market, etc.) with an approach aimed at maintaining a balanced risk profile. Using a flexible approach, the manager adapts the composition of the fund according to his analyses, expectations and market conditions.

Our selection

Generalpart 1 World Sustainable: This fund stands out in the Luxembourg market for its innovative nature. It offers a “turnkey” solution which makes it possible to combine:

  • Useful savings through socially responsible investments (SRI)
  • Diversification of savings across a broad, worldwide investment universe, by investing in several asset classes
  • A very flexible approach aimed at adapting the composition of the portfolio to market conditions
  • Access to funds and latest generation trackers that incorporate SRI criteria, thereby combining innovation with attractive pricing.

Target a particular theme

Thematic investing: water

Global water consumption continues to increase as a result of population growth and rising living standards. Water is therefore becoming a key sector with high potential. Treatment and sanitation, and the creation and maintenance of water networks are booming activities.

Our selection

BNP Paribas Aqua: the fund is managed by a team specialised in the environment and is invested in the equities of international companies whose activity is linked to the water theme. By selecting such a fund, you are investing in helping to meet the challenge of access to quality water for all people, while respecting the environment.

Investing in the theme of sustainable food

Environmental issues involve all sectors of the economy, particularly the food sector, in its broadest sense. In this sector, companies are already helping to combat food waste, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save water and produce without destroying ecosystems. Others, at the end of the chain, focus on selling quality products.

Our selection

BNP Paribas SMaRT Food: This fund is invested globally in food companies whose business model helps to preserve the environment. These include new generations of less energy-intensive agricultural machinery, biodegradable packaging, organic fertilisers and drip irrigation systems. Among these companies, the asset management team selects companies that have solid financial balance sheets and above-average performance potential in their sector.

Investing in the theme of global warming

Global warming is an unprecedented challenge for which solutions exist. Areas such as energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, waste recycling, the construction or renovation of water systems, and the treatment and recycling of waste water contribute in particular to the search for solutions.

Our selection

BNP Paribas Climate Impact: The fund is invested in the equities of companies throughout the world that provide solutions to the problems of global warming. These mainly small or mid capitalisation companies are striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, or to adapt to new climate paradigms, mainly with regard to water supply.

The aforementioned funds are sub-funds of BNP Paribas Funds sicav under Luxembourg law in accordance with Directive 2009/65/EC. Investments made in the funds are subject to market fluctuations and the risks inherent in investments in transferable securities. The value of investments and the income they generate may go down as well as up and investors may not get back the full amount invested. The funds described present a risk of capital loss.
