The awards are seen as a benchmark for asset managers who strive to implement best practices in their mutual fund and exchange-traded fund (ETF) operations. The assessment involves a ‘total investor approach’ to determine whether each contestant has investment principles and practices designed to protect clients rather than solely serve the interests of the company.

The Fund of the Year awards are handed out by BENCHMARK, a leading magazine on personal investing and wealth management in Asia.
